After an incredible and yet bloody hard 2.5 years in business, I thought it was time I properly introduce myself and Meraki to you on a blog.
My name is Jacquie O’Donoghue and for those who know me well, know that I don’t love social media and blogs, I understand it as a means for business and communication (I joined Instagram when I started Meraki last January). However for a long time now, I have been trying to work out a way to change my mindset about social media. So, here I am. I am focusing on my strengths which are my love for people, my love for Meraki and turning a passion into a career (hopefully!)
Over the next few weeks/months/years, I will begin to share with you all things Meraki.
Many of you might be interested in it, many of you might not and that is ok! I am simply sharing this as I want to celebrate the little wins, the tough losses I have learnt from and the fact that I am moving forward each day and focusing on what I absolutely love. Not many people can say that, and I am constantly asked how I was able to turn a passion into a potential career.
So, these are some of what’s happened behind the scenes, ideas and the bat shit craziness of running a food business with no actual training in food or business.
*I also want to do this because for me, this is what social media and blogging is. An incredible platform to get to know others, to learn from others and to be inspired by others. I purposely choose who I do and don’t follow for that very reason. I surround myself with people who inspire me, who are smarter than me and who I can constantly learn from. I want to share this to create connections with more people, to learn from them as I know for a fact that 60% of the time, I am winging it 100% of the time 🤘 #meraki #foodmadeforthesoul
